This couldn't have happened at a worse time for Barack Obama. His healthcare speech enjoyed a quick bounce only to be buried in an avalanche of bad press for ACORN, an organization that enjoys intimate ties to our current president, despite all the liberal pundits' desperate assertions to the contrary.
Andrew Breitbart's newly launched Big Government website played its cards masterfully, releasing each video of ACORN employees advising a couple on how to start a child prostitution ring with illegal immigrants from El Salvador. What was brilliant was the order in which the videos were released, each one getting dirtier and more disturbing, each one dismantling the constant protests by ACORN that this is just "a few bad apples".
Now, with the videos of an ACORN office near the Mexican border, we have an ACORN employee conspiring to help bring underage illegal aliens across the border to be sexually exploited, and even propositioning the young documentary filmmaker Hannah Giles, who played a prostitute for the purposes of these sting operations.
All over the country new investigations are being opened looking into this corrupt body of "community organizers". Breitbart and filmmakers O'Keefe and Giles have quite possibly brought it down for good.
How this affects Obama is even more interesting, as the man's own campaign contributed $800,000 to ACORN. Obama worked as a lawyer for the group, and promised them a "seat at the table" in shaping the agenda of his presidency.
With Obama being destroyed in the polls over his health-care bill, this might just break the back of his presidency, or at the least spill the wind from his administration's sails. Every day his defenders lose their edge, resorting to using the race card, as the worst president of the twentieth century Jimmy Carter did.
Obama's political future is looking more and more like the old peanut farmer's every day.
