It's incredible to believe that this is the same country once leveled Germany and Japan. Civilian casualties are going to happen in any war. To deny your soldiers life saving artillery cover because the insurgents ambushed them near a village is just plain retarded.
What does the Pentagon think the result of this is going to be? Do they think Al-Qaeda and the Taliban don't have access to the internet? They're going to start ambushing American soldiers near residential areas more often, and more American and NATO soldiers are going to be killed.
